CCC students of Dr. Lin's Cultural Anthropology enter the classroom with an accelerated pace. The student projects they make for the class and the world to see express a profound sense of people and place in the Plains and Front Range of the Rockies.
Students also use a perspectivistic approach in the anthropology of peoples around the world nowadays and from the past.
Anthropologists have studied humankind all over the world for hundreds of years. Even before the scientific studies of humankind began people were curious about other peoples around them. Travel is quite an educator. Anthropologists' fieldwork has been instrumental in helping us see ourselves from worldwide perspectives.

Student Digital Story—
As I was thinking about a subject for my story, I had that agriculture article we were assigned to read in my mind - The Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race by Jared Diamond. At the end of the article, Mr Diamond asks us what we’re going to do next. I try to answer his question. What is my answer?

Student Digital Storytelling
Student posted work is a personal, virtual reflection on cultural anthropology in the world of today and/or the past/future. Students include at least two references as web links. These will add to reporting and demonstrate whether students understand the content of the topis of study. This electronic descriptive narrative should be about 1000 words with photos and other graphics. There can be no plagiarism, this must be their own, original composition—quality work. Students have the option to do this instead of a research paper for the course final project. Their posted work will be public, indefinitely, on the internet.
There are quides to digital storytelling online at places like
